Song ratings missing for Rhythmbox external libraries

Bug Description
I'm using Mixxx 2.0.0 under Arch linux. I use Rhythmbox 3.4.2 to manage my music library (ratings, play counts, playlists), but also have used iTunes in the past, so I have a copy of my old iTunes library.
Both rhythmbox and itunes integrations load my playlists correctly. However, only the iTunes integration displays song ratings.
The rating information is available in the rhythmbox library (alongside with play counts, which are also not displayed)

Considering the fact that there are multiple and potentially conflicting sources for importing ratings this task can easily get complicated.
