Bug Description

How about a timer/clock where I can set a Sampler to play at a specific time, as soon as the current song ends.

For instance, I run a two hour show. At every 15 min interval I play a Sampler. (commercial or promo). At 15 after the hour I set Sampler 1 to play. 15 min comes Sampler 1 is cued, as soon at the song ends on or after 15 after the hour, Sampler plays.

Also and option to add the Sampler to history. (probably a second request)

Oh and while in auto-dj mode after it plays the Sampler Auto-DJ continues with the next song.

Wouldn't this use case be better served by putting the estimated time a track will play in the AutoDJ playlist (Bug #1575985)?

Well you don't have elapsed or estimate time in Auto-DJ. Sure one could estimate in their head based on the timestamp adding up the times of songs and hope they have the time right or close.

This would take the guess work out of it. Also once out cue's or silence killer is added the DJ can walk away for a bit. Fix breakfast or coffee and not worry about having to be there to insure the commercial or promo is at the correct time. It's something that other software's have. It's really not an issue for me but other broadcast DJ's that I work with have elected not to use MIXXX because of it. One is our station manager who runs the main server which is in auto mode. For her she is dealing with a 24 / 7 station. Imagine having to do that for 24 / 7, 365. It's impractical!

Something else to go with this with a timer is Setting start and stop times for Auto-DJ. Stop at 10:00 for Bob's show, Start at 12:00 at the end of Bob's show. It would also have to disconnect and reconnect the encoders.

Some of this for future.
