Bug Description
AppImage is a convenient, easy-to-use way to package applications and their dependencies together into a single executable that runs on any system with Linux Standard Base. It would be nice to provide a Mixxx AppImage.

Sébastien, would you be interested in comparing the various new (supposedly) distro-independent packaging formats for GNU/Linux and implementing support for one of them for 2.2?
