Bug Description

hi,

i've been experiencing this problem for a few months now, first with the mixxx 2 beta and now with 2.1.
basically at some point while i am running mixxx, whether i am playing audio (or not), searching through the library, changing the tempo or just adjusting the volume (ie. it happens completely unpredictably), my entire computer will freeze up and become unresponsive. also the cursor will get locked in the "hand" icon. i am still able to move the cursor around the screen, but any other sort of interaction with the computer doesnt work-- clicking, typing, etc. i checked the other reported bugs/troubleshooting page and couldn't find any similar problems for people who aren't running an nvidia graphics card.

hope you can help with this. i love mixxx and have become pretty dependent on it recently so it's been a bummer not to be able to run it without very high crash risk in the last couple months.

i am using a lenovo yoga 2 11 with ubuntu studio. i am not sure how to reproduce the crash to get a log from it because the crash affects my entire computer-- the only way to resolve it is a manual shutdown via power button. but here's what i do have:

uname -a output:

Have you tried using other kernels? Can you reproduce this on kernels other than Ubuntu's lowlatency kernel?

We have recently reports of some Intel graphic related issues. Which graphic driver do you use?
Are you able to switch to console mode Ctrl+Alt+F1 (and back Ctrl+Alt+F8) ?

If so please attach the log file of that session.

Or start Mixxx in a terminal (emulator) to watch the log out while playing.
