Quick effects broken? The QuickEffectRack SuperKnob in the mixer has no effect

Tested wit LateNight and Deere.

Select a Quick Effect in Preferences>Equalizer, and turn the QuickEffectRack knob in the skins mixer section. Nothing happens.
They used to work in earlier revisions

Works fine for me on r5708 in LateNight. Debug build, optimize=native, Debian 8.

Also works fine for me on OS X 10.5.5.

It would be nice to figure out what's going on here -- any other details you can think of Jus?

To fix the issue, I ended up deleting my mixxx.cfg, the fresh *.cfg has 6kb.
The existing *.cfg was double the size due all the testing.

Possible a conflicting cfg key. Looking at the cfg, skins can write at will to the file, at no particular order.
Might be helpful to introduce some kind of order in a future version.
I tried to do this in 2.0 with the [Deere] prefix. Helps to find the custom keys written by a specific skin.

This is issue is probably fixed in:
https://github.com/mixxxdj/mixxx/pull/501

At least, it introduced a fixes the sorting.
The PR is pretty mature I am just waiting for a final LGTM.
Is this still a 2.0 candidate?
