I'm not familiar with OS X and its file system so maybe someone else has an idea of what is going on here?
Copying files from an external medium mounted as a volume seems to be the root cause. It's very strange that Mixxx still picks up a reference to this volume even if it is no longer available. The files should have been copied physically without a reference to the original files which doesn't exist any more. Maybe related to sandboxing in OS X?
