Can't preview the same song twice in a row.

Mixxx 1.12.0-beta1 (build 1.12 r5442)

Steps:

1. Use the Preview headset to play a song through Preview
2. Let it play to completion.
3. Click the same play icon again.

Result:
4. Nothing happens.

This seems to be reproducable with the Preview view too.

Thank you for the bug report:

I will change it like that:
* when started by the library button, it jumps back to cue point

This way a new play in the library behaves always the same, regardless if the track was loaded or not.
It also starts the track at the cue point, regardless of the preference setting "load at cue"
Both seams to be nice.

Oh, not, it's actually fixed.
But we have another similar/related bug

1. press the headphones icon in the library view to land the track in the preview deck and play it
2. wait for track completion
3. hit the play button of the preview deck -> nothing happens.

I think the trak should go to cue and start playing instead of start playing only at the end of track.

I can confirm the described behaviour, but I am in doubt that this is an issue.

The preview deck behaves exactly like the normal decks and you can manually seek through the deck as usual.
If we use "goto_cueandplay" instead of just play, you cannot seek any more before play.

If really needed, we may use introduce a return to cue feature or something.

you're right, preview deck works exactly the same as other decks for the play button.
But other decks have a cue button you can use to "rewind" the track.

So I think we need a way to "rewind" the preview deck to cue more accuratly than using the mouse on the waveform.

sometimes I need to preview more than once the start of a track and don't have an empty deck for that other than the preview deck.
So basically I need to play from cue 3 or 4 times in a row in the preview deck and that's not possible.

a simple solution would be to enable "repeat" mode on the preview deck. If the playhead reaches the end, it'll just wrap around to the beginning.

I just posted a PR to update the manual with this important bit of information -- right click works in all three supported skins so it's something we should call out. I did note that the preview play button in the library always starts from the beginning. That seems fine.
