MIDI output broken on Mac Yosemite with Stanton and Korg hardware

Just got my build running on the Mac side and the hardware I have used for awhile in linux works great minus MIDI output.

Not sure where to start on this one, I can provide the script and mapping files I have been using if they help though.

Hardware is:

Stanton SCS4DJ
Korg nanoKontrol2

Here's the xml mapping. Script appears to be executing fine, just somehow dropping outputs to my controller. Will attach script next post.

Not sure if this is related, but I am getting a LOT of GUI lag on the mac side of things.

Never had issues with responsiveness before using linux and I'm not turning on controllerDebug or developer mode.

Really wish the experience was a little more cohesive between systems. This variability in performance is pretty shocking for building natively. I should be able to plug and play no matter my OS, not have to hack together performance.

Do I keep the ultra low latency of the Mac side and deal with GUI lag? Or do I favor responsive visuals over potential lag on the lowlatency linux kernel? Ideally I shouldn't ever have to pick between these two things.
