It would be convenient to have a way to search for all minor or major keys. Perhaps "key:M" could be the syntax for major and "key:m" could be the syntax for minor. Alternatively, there could be a new search operator "mode", for example "mode:M" or "mode:major".

for me, key:A key:B and key:d key:m would be most intuitive

Those don't make sense. A, B, and d are all musical keys.

Playing with it a bit makes me feel, it is wrong to search for all notations by default.
If you set the display to "traditional" and type key:8 what will you get?
Lancelot 8 or OpenKey 8

Is there a use case to use for Lancelot notation when using Traditional Keys in display?
What happens if the user has its own notation?

If we need a feature to search for the non display key, we may prefix that, and allow to search for the key mode in the
display notation.

I think I have taken up enough for myself for the 2.2 release with the effects system improvements. Does anyone else want to volunteer for this? Uwe? If not, let's remove it from the 2.2 milestone.
