Thanks for taking the time to file the bug.

* What is your Mixxx version?
* Does it happen with a specific file format (e.g. mp3), or all files.
* Is the bug reproducible with the latest beta release, see http://downloads.mixxx.org/builds/1.12/release/ ?

If you still experience the bug with the latest beta release, it would be most helpful to create backtraces and attch them here to your bug report, see http://mixxx.org/wiki/doku.php/creating_backtraces?#linux_mac_os_x_with_xcode_4x

The bug occured with and mp3 file and I unfortunately don't have any other formats to test with at the moment.

My mixxx version is 2.1-alpha-pre (build 1.11 r5398). I pulled it from github since I run Debian.
I did not see that version string before (I got it from the about box) and since it says 'alpha-pre' I'm wondering if I even built the right version in the first place. I pulled this version from the 1.11 branch so I assumed it is the right (and most stable) one.

I also pulled the most recent master branch from github (the link you gave me only contains binaries for Mac, Ubuntu and Windows). I built it and the bug still exists. I also should note that my previous steps to reproduce weren't right. The deck should be playing first, else the reverse button won't even work.

I attached the backtrace with this comment

Confirmed here with Mixxx 1.12 beta r5451 64 bits under windows seven SP1 64 bits

Same crash here with the following formats :
* AIFF
* MP3
* FLAC
* OGG
* WAV

(all files from id3-test-data from mixxx source)

the crash only occurs if key has been changed, no crash with original key.

@tostiheld
Current release branch is https://github.com/mixxxdj/mixxx/tree/1.12

Can confirm on OSX with 1.12.0-beta1 r5456

Crash depend on the selected Keylock/pitchbend engine in Preferences>Soundhardware.
Rubberband (Default) = Working
Soundtouch = Crash

is 1.12 also the most stable one? i have a performance coming up and i thought 1.11 was the most stable one so i was planning on using that version. however, if 1.12 is the most stable i'm definitely going to switch before then.

1.12 is still in beta, so there will be bugs.

Some people use it to perform live, see http://mixxx.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=7131 <http://mixxx.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=7131>, but we do NOT recommend it.
v1.11 is the latest stable version.
