Bug Description

Mixxx x64 1.12 beta r5409 crashes on startup on Windows 8.1 x64.
It seems to be related with the Jack router Asio driver. However, the 32 bits version does start correctly even though it detects some weird things with the mentioned driver.
I attach the log for both versions.

is this still happening?

Ferran Pujol (ferranpujol) wrote :

Yes it still crashes with Mixxx r5442.

How can I debug on windows? I tried MinGw's gdb but it didn't wanted to take mixxx.exe.

http://www.equation.com/servlet/equation.cmd?fa=gdb works for me.
But unfortunately we have no symbol files for windows.

This is covered by https://bugs.launchpad.net/mixxx/+bug/1456107
Who is able to fix this?

Still happening with 2.0.

RJ Ryan (rryan) wrote :

@Daniel -- I think I fixed this though we disabled bundling for the 2.0 final build. We have the PDBs for the 2.0 release saved though, so we can publish a "mixxx-2.0.0-pdbs.zip" or something on downloads.mixxx.org for diagnosing user reports in the wild.

Any build that is 33M / 36M (x86/x64) should have the mixxx.pdb and mixxx-test.pdb included:
http://downloads.mixxx.org/builds/2.0/release/
Note the size jump with git5737 and then subsequent drop on git5772 (2.0 final).

master branch builds have bundled PDBs now as well starting with master-git5531.

That sound reasonable. Can you update the wiki accordingly?
