hierarchical library sort goes from bottom up rather than top down

To get my library sorted by Album > Artist > Track # (see attached screenshot), I have to click Track #, then Artist, then Album. This is counterintuitive. To sort my library this way, I should click Album, then Artist, then Track #.

The current solution behaves like nautilus and other applications
I have no idea to implement it without additional controls.

How should Mixxx distinguish between a click to change the primary sort from a click changing secondary sort?

My bad, I got confused because Artist > Album > Track # wasn't the default. I've been using Amarok as my main music player so I haven't used this kind of sorting GUI for a while. Clementine does it how Mixxx currently does too. The real issue here is that sorting scheme wasn't the default so I had to click around for a few minutes figuring out how to set it up.

To be more complete, the default sorting should be Artist > Album > Year > Disc # (see Bug #1411120) > Track #.

I never sort by album in Mixxx. My column order is # > preview > played > artist > title > length > bpm > album > year >bitrate.

Not exactly logical for a curator, but more logical for a performance. I bet a lot of DJs sort by bpm first, then title or genre (I hate genre and exclude it from my columns).

I bet it says a lot about each DJ what their column order is :)

In any case, title definitely should be right up front in the default columns.
