Bug Description

When AutoDJ starts the last track in the list, it switches off.
When one sees the last track is playing, one could react by adding more tracks, but -and of course this happens frequently to me- one does not always mind to set AutoDJ on again.
So, wouldn't it be more logical to switch it off as soon as the last track has ended?

Also note Daschuer's answer in http://www.mixxx.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=6732.

I'm not sure what would be the best choice in removing the automatic disabling or introducing a preference option.
But it has set me to some thinking:

At least AutoDJ should never be disabled when the last track is loaded.
In this way a DJ can still add tracks while AutoDJ is playing without having to check if it is still enabled.

PERHAPS a preference option can be introduced for disabling after having played that last track.
If the option is not set, AutoDJ remains on when the music stops.
Don't forget ... Now it's silence ... !
Because AutoDJ is still on, loading into AutoDJ can start the track immediately.
I think this would be a great advantage for DJ's coming from the ... somewhere else ... and getting stuck in their crowd. :-)
DJ's who do not want this behaviour, set the preference option to "end after playing last track".

Does AutoDJ remain always on for the other DJ's?
That's something to think about and also a feature that -if I'm right- does not exist.
I started from the idea of "What is the purpose of retaining AutoDJ as soon as the DJ manually interferes"?
So perhaps AutoDJ can be disabled as soon as the DJ changes the cross fader?
There may be other actions that don't immediately come into my mind.
I thought when hitting the Play button, but then pre-listening may disable AutoDJ unintentionally, so care must be taken of the actions we choose.
Perhaps when loading into the other deck?
Anyone have other ideas?
In any case I would not limit to one action, but rather choose a number of actions.
Perhaps those can indeed be added as preference options too.

I guess anyway that some "AutoDJ" indicator might be welcome in the Interface while it is on.
Clickable to disable AutoDJ easily.

Thank you for your thoughts.

I like the idea to just remove the auto disable function from the Auto DJ.

The Auto DJ already tries to to its best not to override the DJs manual controls, even if it is enabled.
But maybe there are still issues.

You can already introduce an AutoDj indicator, if you are not afraid of some skin work.
Just add a Pushbutton somewhere in the skin and connect it to the [AutoDJ],enabled control.
