This would avoid unpredictable parameter jumps in case you have touched the parameter directly.

OK, I have changed the description. Soft-takover is not possible because the issue is solved on the controller by an endless knob.
If we would introduce soft takeover, we loose the benefit of this endless knob.
Instead, the value of the super knob should reflect always the value of the connected control. This is required, because some controllers have a nice display of the current value.
