Bug Description

Hello,
A few colleagues and I use Mixxx 1.11.0 Vers build r3864 for Internet radio to Icecast2 server. If the songs are played on one of the two decks, title and artist are transferred to Icecast. However, if a song is played on one of the sampler, the metadata are not transferred.
Can you please adjust this? Which is very important for all users of the Internet by radio because every song has to be protokoliert. Unfortunately, Mixxx has no internal protocol in the form of - timestamp - artist - album - song.
(text output would be sufficient)

I thank you in advance

Udo

Have you tried the the History feature in Mixxx 1.11?

Hi Jus,

thx for the quick answer. I have seen this new point. But the output as playlist is unhandle for the goverment list-
Here a example from Virtual DJ for better understanding.

VirtualDJ History - 2013/05/09
------------------------------

21:39 : Coca Cola, Hank Lash - Ring Of Fire
21:40 : Cold Rock A Party - Mc Lyte
21:43 : Coolio Feat. 40 Thievz - C U When U Get There
21:47 : Cranberries (Fleetwood Mac) - Go Your Own Way
23:40 : Katzenjammer - I Will Dance (When I Walk Away)
23:44 : Creedence Clearwater Revival - Bad Moon Rising

the best output for goverment is the follow form:

12/May/2013:08:46:02 +0200 Pink - Uandur Hand
12/May/2013:08:49:31 +0200 Rihanna - Unfaithful
12/May/2013:08:53:00 +0200 Bushido - Vendetta (Feat. Chakuza Und E)
12/May/2013:08:57:04 +0200 Plus 44 - When Your Heart Stops Beating
12/May/2013:08:59:58 +0200 Phil Collins - Saturday Night And Sunday Morning

(short output from icecast server - listener and Mountpoint remove)

But not all user has access to the logs of server but must report what was playing for the payment copyright fee.

you see.. the m3u outpot is not realy handle for this problem.

Regards

Udo

What do you mean with "goverment list"?
We are talking about providing setlists for licensing organizations, like GEMA, correct?

In the History feature, right-click on a sessions name.
Select EXPORT PLAYLIST.
Then choose *.CSV as file type from the drop-down menu and click SAVE.

The comma-separated values (CSV) file stores the following informations:
"#","Timestamp","Preview","Played","Artist","Title","Album","Year","Duration","Rating","Genre","Composer","Type","Track #","Key","Date Added","BPM","Bitrate","Location","Comment"

You can process CSV data in applications, like MS Excel, Apple Numbers, or OpenOffice.

----
If there is something wrong how handle Setlists, then please provide a link to the GEMA/AKM/SUISA/PRS form which actually contains the required information.

You van also export as *.txt.
I think this was original intended for a "goverment list"

We are now slightly off topic, what about the original bug.
It is required to provide sampler metadata to Icecast?

Hi Udo,

before closing it, I would like to know if there is a demand for Sampler metadata to icecast.
This might be a valid point anyhow.

The other question was, how do you know what GEMA /SUISA is needed? I th there something written somewhere?

Thank you,

Daniel

Hi Daniel,

i myself only familiar with SUISA. (i think the GEMA is working also)

The minimum requirement is a timestamp - artist - song.
optionally may be included with the album and duration of the song.
Highlevel output is add the EAN/UPC Code of album, but that is not include at ID3 Tag.

The output of the metadata from the sampler like the deck is interesting, because you can store the music moderation there and can push the play on auto-DJ between two songs.
This data must comply insert to the protocol also. So my request :)

It would be great if you could include this as patch .

regards

Udo
