Just noticed... happens on my win 7 box as well..
But when I tried to run Mixxx with admin rights.. it went through..

another observation: tried to install Mixxx on a non-windows partition.. recording works..

Hi guys, thanks for the reports.
The issue is fixed in lp:mixxx/1.11
https://bugs.launchpad.net/mixxx/+bug/1000067

In Mixxx 1.11beta2, which will be released this weekend, recording should work like expected.

*by non-windows I mean partitions apart from the partition on which windows os is installed and _not_ the non-NTFS/non-FAT

thank you ive installed it on there other partition. but i read in the manuel that wen i set to record it should ask me were to save to but it dosnt sorry im new to all of this ? :)
