Mixxx should have a limiter

Bug Description

Like in Tracktor, Mixxx should have a limiter so that songs don't clip when too loud. This would be extremely helpful to not only prevent a set from distorting at loud volumes, but it would also make it easier when working with multiple amplifiers in a sound system (Mixxx's master could be set at 100% and the volume can be adjusted by the main amp).

I believe this is a dupe of Bug #857450 ? It may be worth having a built-in limiter rather than requiring the user to use an effects-based solution.

It should definitely be a choice, though, since most tracks are mastered just short of clipping. Internally it could just be a built-in Master effect.

IMHO A multi band compressor is a kind of equalizer effect which might be placed in the effect rack.

A limiter is more like a replacement for our stupid clipping function we should remove anyway since we have floating point samples. A limiter as a preference option is a good replacement for this.

@daschuer -- may I ask which preference page that setting should go in? ;)

You are kidding me because of my comment that we can do the preferences only different but better ... . Right.

In the current scheme, this will go to the Hardware preferences.

What is your idea in a preference dialogue after redesign?
