Bug Description
mouse lock doesn't work
test with neverball, try playing with the mouse, the mouse exits the window and triggers the launcher or the app switcher, makes the game unplayable with the mouse

I'm not sure what state pointer grabs/confinement is in but I know bschaefer has been working on it.
Just on a related note -- GTK, X11, and probably any toolkit requires pointer grab support without confining the cursor location. The use case is to close a pop-up menu; the user clicks outside the menu and that click event must still go to the menu surface (which holds a pointer grab) (see bug 1506713).
