I can confirm with the original report that arale (MTK) also suffers a significant regression in r3297:

one triangle on arale:
r3296: 1.3ms/frame
r3297: 2.6ms/frame

five triangles on arale:
r3296: 2.3ms/frame
r3297: 11.0ms/frame

It's not as major as the regression on krillin/mali, but still major.
