Bug Description

Can't ever VT switch (Ctrl+Alt+Fn) while the Mir service is running.

This doesn't just happen for mir_demo_server_minimal but also mir_proving_server where it definitely should work. So it looks like the Mir service created by deb2snap is missing some privilege required to VT-switch (tty group??).

summary: - Can't ever VT switch (Ctrl+Alt+Fn) while the Mir service is running
+ Can't ever VT switch (Ctrl+Alt+Fn) while the deb2snap Mir service is
+ running

That would be surprising, but not impossible.

The Mir framework package is running unconfined as root. There's very little it shouldn't be able to do.

Invalid for Mir. The mir demos work fine.

It's only when packaged for snappy that the bug exists.

Then again, we don't have a valid project to log snappy bugs against :(

Also if you're building an appliance it might be a *feature* that VT switching doesn't work. Still would be nice to know why...

Apparently some other impassable bugs are magically fixed since Snappy became an official release. This needs retesting.
