Bug Description

Running an NVidia GeForce 8200

I installed the ubuntu-desktop-mir package, rebooted to a black screen (after plymouth). USC and X is running, but nothing on screen (not even cursor).

So digging, I stopped lightdm, and ran mir_demo_server_shell and a mir demo client - that worked.
Next I tried to run XMir with:
sudo Xorg :1 -mir 0 -retro -mirSocket /tmp/mir_socket
which appears to run - I see the screen flicker grey (usual mir-demo-shell background) - black - grey - black

The X instance appears to have hung. Log file: http://pastebin.ubuntu.com/7762468/

Lemme know what more I can do to help

Can you kill -ABRT (or something) the X server and get a core file, then try to generate an official crash-report? The launchpad retracer will give us more details (stack frames) that are missing from the above stack.
