How to reproduce:
Boot ubuntu and login to unity having both monitors plugged.
Start xserver (with startx)and enter another DE. - i started xfce
Change the desktop settings to match the unity desktop settings in the other DE
Switch to tty 1 (ctrl alt f1) and then to the unity tty (ctrl alt f7 in my case)
You should get the error.
In my case when I ran the screenshot program I got a crtc error notification (see the screenshot). |
