Bug Description

It is not possible to use an external monitor with a dvi-input using a micro-hdmi/hdmi adapter and an hdmi/dvi-cable. Using multiple Adapters (micro-hdmi/hdmi, hdmi-cable, hdmi/dvi-adapter) doesn't work as well.

something like this should work. But will also be dependent on the cables used and the drivers from the chipset. We know we can pump out hdmi successfully to hdmi screens, so in this instance - once it leaves the device there's not a lot we can do about it if it doesn't make it through a connection of differing formats.
