It appears to be related to GDK_IS_PIXBUF assertion failed.

Delayed because debugging tests are needed to find the source of these fails

To optimize cpu usage, it would be a good point to remove these Gdk loaders and to replace the jpeg encoding with an rgb one.

Blinking does not appear anymore after this replacement.

(Some work is still to be done to fully replace the gdkpixbuf solution)
