No Minecraft

There is no /usr/share/minecraft/ and also the launcher refers to a 'minecraft.jar' but when it downloads the Minecraft from the site it's 'Minecraft.jar' it would be easier to keep the formatting. Just to explain, this is from adding the PPA on Trusty and starting the launcher only to have nothing happen. I had to create everything by hand.

Jason, I've never had this issue. Can you check if it's still the case?

Cassidy, This was on a fresh install. But when I remove the directories and PPA I have no issues with it. I think the /usr/share/minecraft issue has to do with the postrm file. https://bazaar.launchpad.net/~minecraft-installer-peeps/minecraft/trunk/view/head:/debian/postrm I will be reinstalling Ubuntu on Friday so I will let you know if I still encounter it.

I forgot to comment on this. Sorry. So I did end up reinstalling Ubuntu but not Trusty. I went installed Precise then upgraded. I didn't experience the bug on Precise when I installed Minecraft. But I haven't tried it on a new install of Trusty or whatever version the bug affected me.
