Bug Description

Midori doesn't accept bookmarks without names, and it also doesn't seem to allow favicons to show up alongside bookmarks (if it does, it's not working for me with any of the sites I've tested, including Facebook).

How about using a space? If that's not discoverable we could add a sentence to the dialog (suggestions welcome).

I tried the space; however, that's still unsatisfactory so long as the favicon doesn't show up. Temporarily, if it can be configured to accept an empty string as a parameter and if the favicon can be made to appear, it'd be about as functional as any other browser's bookmark bar. I'd say the 'just use a space' thing sounds like a hack and informing the user base just to use the hack rather than providing the functionality (it seems like accepting the empty string as a parameter shouldn't be too difficult to implement) is a bad solution IMHO. Having said that, I've participated in relatively little software development so take my opinion with a grain of salt. Thoughts?

Testing Midori 0.5.7 on Windows 2008 R2 :
Midori does accept bookmarks without names and does show the favicons alongside the bookmarks.
   THOUGH....
it does not happen straight foreward :).

   The workaround:
     1. Press the Add Bookmark button
     2. Delete the contents of the Name field -> The "+ Add" button becomes inactive.
     3. Edit the URI (Link), i.e., delete the last character in the link and then restore it -> as soon as you modify the link, the "+ Add" button will become active.
     4. If the favicon, shown in the bookmark does not match the favicon of the website -- visit the website using the bookmark -- the favicon will be updated.

IMNSHO, the simple fix of not disabling the "+Add" button in case the Name field is emptied, would fix the bug. I do not know what happens with nameless bookmarks later (inside the database, etc, so the fix may be more complex -- I do not know).

Thank you Kestutis, that's a nice workaround and works on Ubuntu 14.04.
