Bug Description
I see two issues with the Speed Dial thumbnails, which cause Midori to look "unpolished" compared to other browsers:
1. On big screens or with few dials, the relatively small thumbnails are scaled up, and therefore very blurry (see attached image).
2. The dynamic scaling doesn't respect the aspect ratio of the thumbnails, sqeezing and stretching them out of proportion.
It doesn't help that all cached images seem to be scaled to 240x160px, no matter what the original aspect ratio was.
I would suggest the following:
1. Cache thumbnails with the original aspect ratio.
2. Retain the aspect ratio when scaling.
3.1. Either cache much bigger thumbnails (Opera uses a size of 1024x640px on my system), or
3.2. Whenever possible (i.e. when there is enough space), display the thumbnails at 100% scale and group them at the center of the page.
