Bug Description

Everything is in the title : clicking on the blank thumbnail frame in Speed Dial to add a shortcut doesn't open the adress dialog, as it did in 0.4.2. Instead, nothing happens.

System details : Arch Linux, kernel 3.1.6

Packages Midori depends on :
libwebkit 1.6.1-1
libunique 1.1.6-5
hicolor-icon-theme 0.12-1
desktop-file-utils 0.19-1
libnotify 0.7.4-1
libxss 1.2.1-1

Clicking opens up the dialogue and are able to enter the web address and Rename the shortcut.

Shortly after that it crashes due to being unable to add a thumbnail of the web page (I think)

Cheers

This happened to me too when I had version 0.4.1 iirc. Are you sure you have the latest version, i.e. 0.4.3 ?

Anyways, don't think Christian would have confirmed the bug if it didn't exist as described. ;-)

On FreeBSD, speed dial page is « broken », thumbnail does not appear (link works fine).

Tested with:
- webkit-gtk2: 1.6.1
- midori: 0.4.2 & 0.4.3 (I can't confirm with 0.4.1)

- webkit-gtk2: 1.6.3
- midori 0.4.3

I had the same problem until I realised that it only works with JavaScript enabled.
Just thought it would be a good idea to add this to the comments. Cheers.

I added an icon 'bookmark' from 'customize toolbar' to the tool bar, (did not find in menu Bookmarks
Add option),but when bookmark a site it is appear in bookmark menu only after restarting the program.
By the way with 'bookmarkbar' it works fine.

has I said (on xfce forum) if I create a shortcut from a website directly, it's working, but it's not working the most of time when I create a shortcut from the shortcuts page/tab (don't know the name in english) a way to having a render, from the shortcut page, it's to create the same shortcut two times, then I got for both created a render, I can after that delete one of them, the render still for the one I don't delete...

hope that can help! good luck!
