Granite provides some awesome widgets that a.) make things easier to implement and b.) keep things looking consistent. If Granite were added to Midori, you could get prettier sidebars, an elementary-style AppMenu ootb, hinted entries (for address and search bars), sexy error screens, popovers, prettier dialogs, etc.
In addition, Granite is likely to include a vastly revamped "save" dialog, a much better tabbar widget, and more in the future. By getting Granite into Midori sooner, it'll be easier to add these awesome widgets in once they're ready, and it's less custom work for you. |
