steadyflow doesnt download from secure password-protected servers

Bug Description

In case I want to download a file from a secure server that has been password protected steady flow cannot make a connection with it. It needs to incorporate this basic functionality

It should work. Could you post the version of Steadyflow and the link you're trying to download?

Its version 0.17

it says download stopped: network error (authentication required)

i am running Linux 2.6.38-11-generic x86_64

I can verify this bug with steadyflow 0.1.7-2ubuntu1

Download starts with Connecting then changes to download stopped: network error (authentication required)

FWIW wget requires passwords are set in a config file which is a bit of a pain, hopefully there a nice GUI for Steadyflow :)

Same here with 1.7-bzr from the PPA. This partially overlaps with adding support for HTTP auth headers via DBus API, much code could be re-used.

Since I stumbled over this again, another idea: what if SteadyFlow uses GNOME keyring aka libsecret to lookup the login? I would happily make Midori use the same lookup (currently WIP) and Epiphany could do the same, maybe also other browsers.
