At present time there is only one thing the separate searchbar does that the URLBar does not: allow you to quickly switch engines by clicking the magnifying glass icon. With that exception, it is a superior experience in every way. As such, I think we should remove the separate searchbar as an option from Midori.
Doing so would automatically close the following bugs:
