Bug Description
I'm not sure whether this is a problem on my side but when I click mail:to links midori wants to open some (null) link. I think there should be an association among the "Text editor" and "Download manager" associations which determines what application to use for mailto: links.

The (null) is in fact an erroneous attempt to convert the mailto: string to a filename, which obviously won't work. I corrected this in git master.
The choice of the application itself is a matter of GIO, GVfs or one of the helper tools such as xdg-open, exo-open and gnome-open. If you see the dialogue at all it means none of the available options works on your particular setup.
