I noticed that 'clear private data' was not actually clearing the cookies by enabling the 'Cookie Manager' extension. Which makes me wonder if anything is actually being cleared using the 'clear private data'.

I made some improvements to the cookie update code to make sure updates will be saved and only one update callback is running at the same time.
Thanks for your report. I can fully understand your concerns. From testing here only cookies were affected, other private data is removed without problems.
