basically midori spews CRITICAL messages to stdout when specific html is rendered. It doesn't crash, the messages seem mostly harmless?

It looks like this happens any time midori is started with an existing session and a tab to open. This has to do with the way the tab manager (tabby) allocates ordering numbers to tabs. It shouldn't cause a big problem, but is annoying and should be fixed.
