Bug Description

Midori 0.5.8 on Windows Starter 6.1 Service Pack 1.
Clicking on, or simply hovering the mouse over, the 'Edit' Menu causes Midori to crash.
This behaviour seems to happen more often if the 'Toolbar Editor 0.1' extension is enabled, but it has happened a number of times without this extension enabled.
The entire browser freezes and then a popup window appears with the message:

Midori has stopped working.
Windows is checking for a solution to the problem ...

This has happened multiple times while I was testing Midori as an alternative to Firefox. This bug makes Midori basically unusable and => not viable as an alternative browser.

This can be reproduced consistently by middle-clicking a link, switching to the new tab, and clicking "Edit" in the menubar. Here's a backtrace without and with --g-fatal-warnings (which catches the invalid cast that causes the crash slightly after):

Interestingly, if I middle-click a link and switch to the new tab my Midori doesn't crash anymore when opening the Edit menu. Unless I disable the Menu bar and re-enable it again. Then the crash becomes reproducible 100%. Attached a backtrace too.
