Number thing is too easy to trigger

I have no idea what putting numbers all over the page is used for, but it's too easy to trigger it (I still can't figure out what exactly is doing this) and it's annoying.

Okay, so I found out that typing "." triggers this. I have to say I think it's an incredibly bad idea to use a single key to trigger something this disruptive (almost as evil as backspace navigating away from the current page).

It'd be great if this could be an extension or changed to ctrl + .

Ah, yeah, I've hit that before too and had no idea how it showed up. That's really bad from a ux perspective.
