Bug Description

We are using Midori on the Raspberry pi and we are using it as a display for an auto refreshing website.

It is set to open in kiosk mode but crashes after about 3 hours. When it crashes the browser simply closes and we are left with the raspbian desktop.

I have tested the same site with Chromium and it does not crash.

The site in question does use quite a bit of jquery as it uses a jquery plugin to rotate through the pages.

Can you give more details? The website in question (or a public demo in case it's for a limited audience) would be very useful for an indication of what is happening. Also the output of about:version - Raspberry Pi ships a very old Midori out of the box, 0.4.3 which is what Debian has - if you're using that updating it is strongly recommended.

The version I am running is 0.4.3. Hpw do I upgrade it? I have run apt-get
upgrade midori but this claims 0.4.3 is the latest version. Unfortunately
we do not currently have a publicly available page but we might be able to
sort one out.

You need to run sudo apt-get update before using sudo apt-get upgrade midori.

I have run apt-get update then upgrade but the version is still the same.
All the forums say to compile from source but I have no idea where to start
with that.
