Can't write (e.g. in search bar) if a plug-in is running is another tab

I have noticed that when opening two tabs, if one of them is running some plugin (e.g. Youtube, or a PDF file), I am unable to write anything on the second tab. In fact, whatever I type seems to interact with the plug-in. For example, typing some letter would make a video in the inactive tab pause or play.

I can't open another page or look up anything in a search engine unless I open a new window. I am running a fresh install of Midori on Windows XP. I have uploaded a video in which I show how I open and pause a video, open a new tab and try to type anything in the search and address bars.

This seems to be WebkitGTK+ or GTK3 itself. Checking with windows version of xombrero it behaves the same so it is not Midori specific.
