Per the discussion on github (https://github.com/CanonicalLtd/microstack/issues/39), we've temporarily turned off the material theme.

Possible underlying cause: We set a STATIC_ROOT for django in /var/snap, so that django can write to it, but this seems to break some of the relative pathing in the material theme.
