Date field in republisher accepts non-valid dates

Bug Description
I typed in 1924/15/01, and it seemed to accept that as a valid date. When I noticed that, I tried 1924/15/88, and it accepted that as well. Don't know what would happen if the item were checked in like that. Didn't want to try and find out.
