Hi,

I have the feeling that CERN has a lot of filesystem issue between afs/eos/cvmfs (and their support by python).
Since your process is very standard (so low probability of issue) and that I have never seen this issue,
maybe the issue is related to that.

I'm sorry but I have no clue on what I can do here to help you.
Maybe try to avoid to have the code installed on afs and to output the code on eos?
But this is a very wild guess (and maybe not the real issue).

Sorry for not being more helpful,

Olivier
