Bug Description
The latest version of MadGraph (MG5_aMC_v2.6.4) appears to write unreadable HepMC files that give the following error when read into Rivet (2.6.1):
Rivet 2.6.1-pre running on machine lxplus061.cern.ch (x86_64) at 2018-12-04 17:07:44
streaming input: end of stream found setting badbit.
Could not read from '/afs/cern.
Events produced with an identical process and cards for MG5_aMC_v2_6_3_X series do not produce the same error. The HepMC version I'm using in MG5_aMC_v2.6.4 is the out-of-the-box one.
Cheers,
Jay
p.s. a version of this HepMC file is in my public area here: /afs/cern.

As a further curiosity, using madspin for the decays somehow produces readable HepMC files?
