"import model_v4 mssm" suddenly doesn't work anymore

Hi! I am trying to generate susy events, for which I use the following script:

this script was working before, calculating cross sections, but suddenly I get the error:

I am using MadGraph 2.4.3 on lxplus, and have not changed the way I set up my environmental variables etc before, so I do not really understand where this error is coming from. Also starting MG5 manually and trying to import the model results in the same error message.

For completeness, I set up doing the following:

Dear Alex,

Can you attach the debug file?
I do not reproduce such error locally, so I can only guess (even more without the debug file).
My guess is that you corrupt your mssm_v4 model in some way.
So my first suggestion, would be to remove the directory models/mssm_v4 and replace it by a fresh copy.
As this model is for retro-compatibility with MG4 (and is going te be removed in MG5aMC version3) this model has not been changed/update since more than 8 year.

Looks like a corruption of the pickle file that we create to speed up the import of the model.
You can do the following
rm models/mssm_v4/*.pkl

And this should fix your problem.

Hi Olivier,

you are right, madgraph know imports the model without an issue.

Unfortunately now I get a compilation error. I will probably open a new thread if I can't fix it to not pollute this one.
