Bug Description

'sed -i', which is used to remove the header and tail of HepMC files that need to be merged, behaves differently on Mac OS X and LINUX. Current version of the code works only on MacOSX. See line 4215 of the madevent_interface.py

Yes, actually the syntax is even differs a bit further than just the '-i'.
In any case, I have made the necessary modification and it should now work on both platform in version 2.5.3 soon-to-be-made-public.
