Bug Description

Hello,

I'm running a sgluon production and decay process at NLO, and run into this error:
AssertionError : fail for ('sig8_gg', 'sig8_dbx') (P0_gg_sig8sig8g)

Here is what I try to generate:

generate p p > sig8 sig8 NP=0 [QCD] within MadGraph (version 2.3.2)
and
decay sig8 > all all within MadSpin

Could you let me know if I'm doing anything wrong or if you need more information?
Attached are the debug and log files.

Thanks a lot,
Cécile

Hi,

I see that you are not using the latest version of madgraph. (2.3.3) so it is possible that such bug is already solved.
Actually can i ask you to test with the development version?
you can download it via the command
bzr branch lp:~maddevelopers/mg5amcnlo/2.3.4

If it still does not work in that version, then please attach your model (or tell me where i can find it) and i will try to reproduce your bug.

Cheers,

Olivier

Hi,

Just to add that I have run the same processes (probably in the same model) and it went trough in the 2.3.4 version of the code.

Cheers,

Olivier

Hi Olivier,

thanks a lot for your help.

Indeed it works well on my laptop with version 2.3.4. However I've been trying to make it work on lxplus and failed. I followed instructions from this page: http://amcatnlo.web.cern.ch/amcatnlo/list_detailed2.htm and used versions 4.8.4 of gfortran and gcc (like what I have locally). It ends up with a compilation error (the bug report is attached).

I also tried with version 2.4.0.beta and it's working fine (both locally and on lxplus). Is it ok to keep working with this version then?

Thanks a lot again,
Cécile

Hi Cecile,

It should be perfectly fine to use 2.4.0.beta

Cheers,

Olivier
