Bug Description

Hello,

I'm using MG5_aMC_v2_2_3 and already have gcc and Fortran compilers on my machine, the gcc and gfortran versions are the same: 4.9.2. Now when i make launch for a process on MG, it gives this error:

Error detected in "generate_events "
write debug file /home/safinaz/SC./MG5_aMC_v2_2_3/de/run_01_tag_1_debug.log

MadGraph5Error : A compilation Error occurs when trying to compile /home/safinaz/SC./MG5_aMC_v2_2_3/de/SubProcesses/P0_gg_bbxbbxttxvlvl.
The compilation fails with the following output message:
     f77 -O -w -fbounds-check -fPIC -ffixed-line-length-132 -w -c -o symmetry.o symmetry.f
     f77 -O -w -fbounds-check -fPIC -ffixed-line-length-132 -w -c -o cluster.o cluster.f

Please submit a full bug report,
     with preprocessed source if appropriate.
     See <file:///usr/share/doc/gcc-4.9/README.Bugs> for instructions.

According to google this error message occur when you do not have enough RAM available for compiling the code.
Could you retry with a machine with more RAM?

Cheers,

Hi,
what process are you trying?
looking at the folder name, it looks something like

g g > b b~ b b~ t t~ v v which is very compicated and indeed may result in the compiler throwing such an error...
Are simpler processes working?

cheers,

Marco

Hi,

The process I try is: p p > b b~ b b~ mu- mu+ vm~ vm, which gives the previous compilation error , while MG works fine for other simpler processes like pp > b b~ .

Dear Safinaz,
for such a complicated process, i think it is almost impossible to manage to compile it, unless you have a huge amount of ram on your computer.
If you are interested in decayed ttH, you might consider trying

p p > b b~ mu- mu+ vm~ vm h , h > b b~

Let us know,

Cheers,

Marco
