--column is ignored if output is json

Bug Description
metalsmith==1.4.4
When running, for example, metalsmith --column UUID -f json list, a full JSON with *all* columns is printed.
Unlike, "metalsmith --column UUID -f value list" or "metalsmith --column UUID -f table list" or "metalsmith --column UUID -f default list".
If comparing to "openstack server -f json -c ID list", where it does print only the requested column (ID).

metalsmith==1.4.4 is from the Wallaby release which is currently unmaintained, so try upgrading to a later version to see if the bug still exists.
NOTE: The latest version as of 12th August 2024, is v2.3.0 while the minimum supported version is v1.10.1 which is from stable/2023.1.
