I tested 15.04 "Ubuntu MATE", "Lubuntu" and "Xubuntu"...

e.g.: the file managers:

* Xubuntu with thunar
* Lubuntu with PCManFM
* Ubuntu MATE with Caja

The problem with the small "resize area" exist on all :(

But the right/bottom area is big and good to grab on all three. (This is the "special" resize area)

Only MATE has also a little bigger areas on top left and top right corners...
