Some messages are ambiguous and it would be nice if you could add some comments to hints translators about their usage and how to translate them:

Are you sure you want to delete PLACEHOLDER from the disk ?

In this case it is better to put it in a single string and use %s . Some langauges have strange word ording that does not match with English.
