Bug Description

i have a mediawiki, that i can only access via https.
i have defined it as:
'(mediawiki-site-alist (quote (("optiwiki" "https://eutyche.swe.uni-linz.ac.at/mediawiki/index.php" "<username>" "<password>" "OptiWiki"))))
if i try to open it, with
M-x mediawiki-site RET hodg RET
i see the following messages (in *Messages*)

Contacting host: eutyche.swe.uni-linz.ac.at:443
Opening TLS connection to `eutyche.swe.uni-linz.ac.at'...
Opening TLS connection with `gnutls-cli -p 443 eutyche.swe.uni-linz.ac.at'...done
Opening TLS connection to `eutyche.swe.uni-linz.ac.at'...done

but see no wiki page. the server has a non-trusted certificate, but gnutls-cli connects fine.

If the SSL cert is a problem, then you need to look at

  M-x customize-group RET tls RET

and look at "Tls Untrusted" and "Tls Hostmismatch".

Otherwise, download the latest version of mediawiki.el linked to from http://launchpad.net/mediawiki-el

Confirmed that this occurs with https and not http. The problem is likely in url.el instead of mediawiki.el, but I can track that down.
